While fans were busy speculating about a fourth entry into the Diablo series, Blizzard wasn’t quite done with their third iteration, announcing that the fan-favorite necromancer class from Diablo II was - and please forgive me for this - back from the dead. After correcting a rough launch, releasing on consoles, creating a strong expansion with a new class and adding competitive leaderboards, Diablo III had set the bar as high as any game could have.īut this is Blizzard we’re talking about, and after all the awards and accolades, setting the bar isn’t good enough for them they want to launch it into orbit. If Blizzard had stopped updating Diablo III two years ago, the game would have been called a resounding success.
