I don’t want to spend a lot of money to have a mechanic replace a lot of things, when they don’t need replacing. A lot of coolant is vanishing, but where is it going? Is it burning off? Please help as I like to take care of this the right way by a mechanic. I backed the car up to see if any coolant had leaked to the ground, nothing. I poured some more in, a bit above the cold line, drove about 11 miles, parked, after about 4 hours, it was about a quarter of an inch below the cold line. The next morning, after no driving at all overnight, I checked and saw that the coolant had dropped back down to where it was the day before, 3/4 inch up from the bottom. Waited about an hour and half and poured up just about the Cold line (the only line, seems like it doesn’t have a hot line). I drove a couple of miles and picked up Dex Cool 50/50. I noticed that my reservoir was about 3/4 of an inch up from the bottom of the reservoir. Gauge on the dash is about at halfway point. Hi everyone, thanks for any advice you can give. Please help, 2008 GM Pontiac Grand Prix 3800 Series III V6 about 91,500 miles, Coolant Antifreeze Reservoir leak?
